30th Sunday of Ordinary Time

 

Friday, November 1st – All Saints Day – a holy day of obligation.  Masses on All Saints Day are at 8:15 am, 12:05 noontime and 7:00 pm.

 

Saturday, November 2nd – All Souls Day – Mass at 8:15 am

     Envelopes to enroll your deceased loved ones in the All Souls Novena of Masses are the in pews.  Simply write the names of those you wish remembered, enclose your donation and place the envelope in the collection basket or through the mail slot of the Parish Center.  These envelopes with the names you wish remembered will be placed on the altar for these nine days of Masses

     You may e-mail me the names you wish remembered in the All Souls Novena of Masses at mwakefield@sfdsparish.com.  I will print out the names and place them on the altar with the All Souls Novena envelopes. 

 

Our Book of the Dead will be placed on the side altar of St. Joseph, the patron of a happy death.  You will be invited to write the our Book of the Dead the names of those you wish to remember during the month of November, the month of All Souls.

 

We go on Standard Time early Sunday morning, November 3rd.  Please turn your clocks BACK one hour.

 

School Scholastic Book Fair opens Saturday afternoon, November 2nd in the school auditorium.  The Book Fair will be open on the 2nd from 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm and open on Sunday, the 3rd from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. There will be a wide variety of children and adult books.  All proceeds benefit St. Francis de Sales School library.   

 

St. Francis de Sales Choir and the Wagner Ensemble will perform Marck-Antoine Charpentier’s Requiem Messe des Morts on Sunday afternoon November 3rd at 4:00 in church with chorus and orchestra.
