From their humble beginnings in the basement of St. Mary’s Church in New Haven, Connecticut under the direction of Fr. Michael McGivney, the Knights of Columbus has grown to the largest fraternal order of Catholic men in the world.
The Knights of Columbus Fr. O’Mahony Council 4956 at St. Francis de Sales support parish events and engage in many charitable works. In addition they are a ready and willing group when called upon to help.
The Knights are great supporters of Loaves and Fishes – a nearby Valley food and clothing assist for the poor. The Knights sponsor a food and clothing drive the first weekend of every month. Please bring canned or dried food and your used clothing to church the first weekend of the month and leave them in the church vestibule. The Knights take them to Loaves and Fishes on Monday.
Regular meetings are the first and third Tuesdays of the month in the parish center.
If you are a Catholic man interested in the Knights please contact Jack Lathuras – Membership Director at JLathuras@sfdsparish.com.
