Participating in the good works of Together in Mission is one way that every Catholic in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles can show their love for their neighbor.
A Special Message from Archbishop Gomez
As you know, Together in Mission is a unique annual appeal. It is the only time the Archdiocese of Los Angeles asks for contributions — and all the money we raise is given directly and exclusively to our poorest parishes and schools.
For me, Together in Mission has always been a beautiful expression of our Christian duty to love one another as God has loved us.
Our theme for this anniversary year is “Let us Love.” The love that Jesus calls us to is more than words and more than feelings. Christian love is a call to action. Jesus calls us to open our hearts and extend a helping hand to those who are most vulnerable and most in need. And sadly, as we know, the number of needy families and children in our midst continues to grow with each passing year.
Through your prayers and generous contributions over the years, you have helped us to make a great difference in improving the lives of the poor here in Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.
Jesus said that the love we show to the poor is love that we show to him. So again, this year, I am appealing to you and all our brothers and sisters here, “Let us love.” Please consider expressing your love once more by making a generous contribution to Together in Mission.
Be assured of my prayers for you and your family and please pray for me and for my ministry in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
May Our Blessed Mother watch over you in her tender love and may our gracious God grant you peace and joy and love.
Most Reverend José H. Gomez
Archbishop of Los Angeles
