32nd Sunday of Ordinary Time
The Church Year is quickly drawing to a close. We have two more Sundays in green vestments, the 10th and the 17th and then the grand conclusion of the Church Year with Our Lord Jesus Christ the King of the Universe.
November 16-17 is the second collection for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development.
Thursday, November 28th is Thanksgiving – the beautiful American holiday to gather with friends and family, give thanks to God for the many blessings we enjoy and share a meal together.
For Thanksgiving Day Keith and Antoinette Ward prepare a glorious Thanksgiving dinner for the clients of Loaves and Fishes. The dinner is held is at noontime at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Van Nuys Blvd. The Seventh Grade students of St. Francis de Sales School take each client’s order and plate and pass through the buffet line where other seventh grade students dish up the order and place it on the plates.
Parishioners of St. Francis de Sales are so generous in wishing to donate food to this Thanksgiving Day dinner. Please bring your canned/dried food items and/or frozen turkeys to the Parish Center by Thursday, November 21st.
