Second Sunday of Advent

Sunday, December 8, 2024

Christmas is a beautiful time with many facets.  One aspect of Christmas is generosity and giving.

St. Francis de Sales has several large, unexpected expenses this year.  As you well know, nothing comes cheap any longer.

We purchased three amps for the church sound system and four speakers.  This is necessary to replace the equipment which dates from the early 1990s.  The cost of these amps and speakers is $13,115.00.  The installation cost will be extra.

Additional security cameras were installed.

The statue of St. Francis de Sales in front of the church was vandalized with spray paint three times and needed to be carefully cleaned.

Two areas of the rectory roof were leaking and needed to be replaced.  No one can remember when the rectory roof was replaced last.  It did its job for years and this last winter proved to be too much.  The expense of these two roof areas is $42,000.00

Please remember our parish in your Christmas giving and generosity.   Please also remember all donations to the church are tax deductible.
